PACK OVERVIEW

This support package is designed to help your entity think strategically about how to build larger movements and how to mobilize them to achieve human rights impact. At the end of the workshop you will have a strategy that purposely link growth, engagement and human rights impact.   

By the end you will have developed a strategy that will help you to: 

  1. Have developed a strategy to build a large, strong and diverse movement of committed supporters that actively defend and uphold Human rights.  
  2. Understand and plan how you need to strengthen your internal capabilities to achieve impact through growth.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • How you could achieve change through mobilizing a larger and stronger movement of supporters 
  • Who are your current supporters and how to identify new supporters and bring them into the movement 
  • Identify which campaigns are for growth, which are for impact, and which can help us achieve both 
  • Understand the engagement offer that you are currently providing and how to improve it so that you can sustainably engage larger number(s) of supporters at the same time as providing high value propositions for engagement that lead to impact 
  • How to work in integrated ways to achieve sustainable growth, engagement and impact 

The Steps

Preparation:

  • Readiness Assessment: Understating current ways of working and available tools 
  • Audience Research: Understanding current and potential supporters 
  • Pre-Workshop: Understanding how we will work together 

Strategic planning workshop:

  • Session 1: How will our movement create change? Who will be making the change? 
  • Session 2: How will we use our campaigns to create growth and achieve impact? What will be the size of our larger supporter base? 
  • Session 3: How will we engage our supporters? How will we work together to build our movement? Setting strategic objectives for 3 years 
  • Session 4: Setting milestones and KPIs. Developing an operational plan 

outcomes:

  • A common vision that provides clear purpose and direction 
  • A three-year road map including long term strategic objectives and milestones 
  • An operational plan to guide implementation 
  • A collaborative team culture that embraces learning and iteration to deliver the strategy as an integrated team 

follow-ups and On-going support:

  • Review and fine tuning of the strategic and operational plans 
  • Ongoing support throughout implementation 
  • Monitoring and evaluation  
  • ITG Community, a community of specialist on growth and engagement, available during project participation for ongoing support

Workshop – Offline 3-4 days. Online 6-7 half days

The main change was a cultural one: we started looking at supporters as a key element to grow our impact and sustainability 

Being able to have in depth conversations in an integrated manner helped us look for ideas to enhance our work with a strategic perspective
